Do Something Tennessee Day (DSTN) is a statewide day of action designed to mobilize youth, families, schools, and community organizations to participate in meaningful volunteer service. Rooted in the social impact initiative It Takes a Child to Raise a Village, DSTN reframes volunteerism as both a youth-led and community-wide responsibility. By aligning Tennessee’s inaugural Do Something Day with national service movements, DSTN will position the state as a leader in youth civic engagement and service culture development.

PRIMARY GOALS: SPRING LAUNCH

Establish May 1 as “Do Something Tennessee Day” through legislative recognition.

Activate at least one service opportunity in every major Tennessee media market.

Engage youth-serving organizations (schools, clubs, student groups) in coordinated service.
